About this lot
Hand-stitched and hand-quilted crazy quilt featuring a busy design with multiple colors and patterns of fabric in a nonsensical geometric arrangement. The entire quilt is adorned with decorative top-stitching and embroidery along the borders, and motifs inside the panels of a duck pond, flowers, a spider web, a Louisville panel, a Derby panel, a bouquet of flowers, a dog, and more. Artist signed and dated in one panel, 1990. The black velvet-like border and backing shows a section that was either mid-repair, or in need of finishing to complete the quilt. Surface finish shows some small loose stitches, but the overall condition is good. Size: 5'3"w x 7'2"l Location: Living Room
